Clear aligners are made from transparent, medical-grade plastic. They are barely noticeable when worn, making them the preferred choice for teens and adults who are self-conscious about undergoing orthodontic treatment.
Traditional braces can cause painful sores and irritation on the inside of your cheeks and lips. Clear aligners are custom-made with smooth, laser-trimmed edges designed to fit snugly and comfortably over your teeth.
Unlike fixed metal braces, clear aligners are completely removable. You can easily take them out to eat your favorite foods—meaning no dietary restrictions!
Because you remove the aligners to brush and floss, you can maintain your normal, optimal oral hygiene routine during your treatment, reducing the risk of plaque buildup and tooth decay associated with traditional braces.
Clear aligner treatment typically requires fewer visits to the dentist for adjustments compared to the frequent tightening appointments needed for metal braces.
Transforming your smile with clear aligners is a seamless, step-by-step process guided by our expert dental team.

Your journey begins with a comprehensive consultation. We will discuss your goals and evaluate your bite. Instead of messy, uncomfortable putty impressions, we use advanced digital technology to take a precise 3D scan of your teeth. This scan is used to map out your custom treatment plan, allowing you to see a digital preview of your future smile before you even begin!

Based on your digital treatment plan, a series of bespoke, comfortable aligners are fabricated specifically for your smile journey. We will ensure your first set fits perfectly and explain exactly how to wear and care for them.

You will wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day, removing them only to eat, drink (anything other than water), brush, and floss. You will switch to a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks. Each new set will gently and precisely move your teeth closer to their final positions. You will visit our office periodically (usually every 6-8 weeks) so we can monitor your progress.

Once you have progressed through all your aligners, your treatment is complete! We will celebrate your stunning, perfectly aligned new smile. To protect your investment and keep your teeth in their new positions, we will discuss custom retainer options for nighttime wear.
Clear aligners are highly effective for treating a wide range of orthodontic issues in both teens and adults, including crowded teeth, gaps, overbites, underbites, and crossbites. However, severe or highly complex orthodontic cases may still require traditional braces. Our dental team will determine if clear aligners are the right fit for you during your initial consultation.
The duration of your treatment depends entirely on the complexity of your case and how much your teeth need to move. On average, treatment times range from 6 to 18 months. You will start seeing noticeable improvements in your smile within just a few weeks of starting!
Clear aligners are generally much more comfortable than traditional metal braces. However, it is completely normal to experience some mild, temporary discomfort or pressure for the first day or two after switching to a new set of aligners. This pressure is a sign that the aligners are working and actively moving your teeth.
For the treatment to be effective and stay on schedule, you must wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours per day. They should only be removed for eating, drinking anything other than plain water, brushing, and flossing.
No! One of the best things about clear aligners is that there are zero food restrictions. Because you remove them before you eat, you can continue to enjoy all your favorite foods, including popcorn, apples, nuts, and sticky candies, which are strictly off-limits with traditional braces.
Cleaning your aligners is simple. You should gently brush them with a soft-bristled toothbrush and clear, antibacterial soap or a specialized aligner cleaning solution every time you take them out. Avoid using hot water, as it can warp the plastic, and avoid colored soaps or abrasive toothpastes that can scratch or stain the aligners.
You may experience a slight lisp for the first few days as your tongue gets used to having the aligners in your mouth. However, this is temporary, and your speech will quickly return to normal as you adjust to wearing them.
Once your teeth are in their ideal positions, you will need to wear a retainer to prevent them from shifting back to their original places. We will provide you with a custom-fit, clear retainer that is typically worn only at night while you sleep.
